Halloween 2010

Our little princess! She had to be Belle this year...that was her one request from Disneyland.

These 2 are so cute with each other...always giving each other hugs & they play very well together.

My little Indian! He loved being dressed up...he'd strut around the house like he was in charge!

Of course, he still had to throw his little fits!

The 3 amigos!

Check out this hot cop! What's funny is, we get up to Dave & Dorinda's party, Jake's aunt walks up to him & says, "I didn't know you were in Law Enforcement?!" That's when you know you've got a good costume! :)

Lauren with her silly nose & KaitLynn with her crazy hair!

JaLynn was so excited Ben would go to her, especially with her crazy hair...she had to have a picture!

Go Angels!

We thought it would be fun to catch an Angels Baseball Game while we were in Cali - we were able to find some cheap tickets & catch a game our last night there. It was the first time I'd ever been to a pro baseball game. It was really fun! We had pretty good seats just up from 1st base.

Disneyland - Adults ONLY!

Jake surprised me with a nice little vacation - we were unable to go anywhere for our 5th anniversary last year because Ben was just a newborn, so we decided we'd do something big this year instead. Jessica offered to watch our kids for us, but we knew their baby girl would be arriving before December, so we went a little early so she wouldn't have 2 extra kids, plus a new baby. Thanks Joe & Jessica for letting our kids come stay with you - they had so much fun!

We picked Disneyland because there were things we wanted to do there, but it's hard with little ones! We'll take the kids next time! :)

This was crazy - I don't have a picture from our first day there to show you, but anyway, the first night we went, all the flowers were red & all of the summer decor was still up; by the next morning, they had changed everything out for Halloween Time - CRAZY!

Lagoon

Questar had their summer picnic at Lagoon - Lauren was so excited to go & be able to go on some rides this year.

Jon was Lauren's riding buddy...she loves him so much! :)

Look out - under age driver coming your way!

The anticipation...

...SOAKED!

& soaked again!

There wasn't much for Ben to do while Lauren was on rides, so he was pretty bored & ornery while waiting...

He had fun too though!

This was the one that all of the little girls wanted...Lauren was the lucky one!

& of course, the Merry-Go-Round!

Birthday Boy

Ben turned 1! & now, my baby is no longer...he's a trouble-making toddler that keeps us very busy! Not only is he walking, he's now RUNNING! Where does the time go?

We had a good time celebrating his birthday - much bigger than we would have liked, but we had one for Lauren - we had to keep the tradition going I guess!

So HANDSOME! :)

Check out those chompers!

Checking out the new ride!

Yummm...CAKE! (He didn't dig into it like a normal 1 yr old would though...?)

Ooohh - PRESENTS!

I wish I could say this was a result of my creativity...better luck next year maybe! Thanks Lora!

Preschool

It's official! Lauren's not a little girl anymore...she started preschool this year & is having so much fun! She looks forward to 'Show & Tell' & is learning so much! I can't believe how big she is getting...

Lauren's first day of preschool

Park City

We went to Park City this year for the Hofler family vacation. At Sundance Resort, we rode the tram up & then hiked down into Daniel's Summit. The tram ride was a little frightening with Ben - he wouldn't hold still!

The Falls at Daniel's Summit

Our SuperModel & Ben stopping for a quick lunch on the trail

Then we did the Sunset BBQ on the Heber Creeper...the kids had a blast on the train ride! (The food was pretty good too!)

Such a big boy sitting all by himself

Just enjoying the ride!

Where Has the SUMMER Gone?!?!

Now that summer is all but over, it's about time for some updates...what do you think?! :)

-OUR SALT LAKE TRIP-

Took the kids to Build-a-Bear (or pony!) Lauren took one look at this & that was that!

Ben with his giggling puppy! (We maybe should have put the 'bark' in it, but the giggle was too cute...hopefully we don't confuse the kid!)

These 2 are kissin' the hearts before they stuff 'em inside...so cute!

-BRIGHAM CITY TEMPLE-

We were fortunate enough to go to the Brigham City Temple Groundbreaking ceremonies...we are SO EXCITED for the temple & are glad we can be around for the construction of it & to let our kids have that experience - we are so blessed to have a temple so close to home - can't wait!

Thanks for coming with us April! Lauren adores you!

My Boys! (adorable, aren't they?!)

-BEST BUDDIES-

Ben & Miles - we're so glad to have Wade, Kali, & Miles back close to home! These 2 are gonna be best buddies!

Ben & Grandpa Ron

-24TH OF JULY-

Lauren had lots of fun at Mendon's 24th of July celebration, even after a day of hiking!

-WHITE PINE-

Jake thought it would be fun to hike in & camp-out at White Pine by Tony
Grove...keep in mind, I've NEVER been backpacking (overnight) before + we've got 2 KIDS! Maybe I'm a wuss, but it was definitely a once in a lifetime experience...(meaning, I'll never do THAT again!) Don't get me wrong - we had a blast, especially going with Josh, JaLynn, & family...I'm just not cut out for that kind of stuff! :)

Lauren was a good sport...she walked most of the way herself! (JaLynn's sis was nice & carried her down the easiest part - lucky girl!)

I hauled Ben up in the Kelty...he loved every minute of it!

Ben is so close to walking! He's taking 4-5 steps on his own - still just a little hesitant...

Nathan, KaitLynn, Lauren & Ben...they all had so much fun (of course they didn't have packs on their backs - it was all fun & games for them - I wanna be a kid again!)

Perfect photo op - as much as I complain, it was BEAUTIFUL up there - I could go again, but just for a day hike!

Getting ready to hike out & head back home!

I think Josh got tired of Lauren slowing us all down on the way out, so he packed her on his shoulders, along with a 60+ lb pack on his back...THANKS Josh!

-THIS & THAT-

Ben sure loves his food, however, we have recently discovered some major food allergies, so it puts a small snag in his eating habits...but we'll deal with it!

This is only the last 1/2 of our summer...we've been very busy!
Our computer crashed though, so my pictures are no longer easily accessible - so just details, no pics for the rest of our fun summer!

-We went to Island Park & Yellowstone with Scott & family - had lots of fun & even saw a few bears! It was still a little chilly up there, but glad we went.

-We went to Bear Lake with Josh & family; it was fun, but VERY windy. Ben seemed to enjoy the sand & the water. Lauren on the other hand, not so much. She thought the lake was the ocean & that it was very dangerous - we had a hard time getting her out into the water.

-We went on a few small hikes up Logan Canyon, Wind Caves included - Lauren did so good & hiked the whole way!

-Went up to Twin Falls to visit Jessica & family...Lauren & Charlie are best buddies!

I think that's our summer so far...we've done so much, but there's so much I still would like to do-Hogle Zoo, Dinosaur Park, Swimming...just to name a few, not to mention what's already planned...Heber, Lagoon, Ben's 1st Birthday!, Jake's Birthday, then a trip to Disneyland for me & Jake! (shhshh...don't tell the kids!)
